Rage Against Suburban Zombie-ism Monday, April 21, 2014  A dancer friend of mine just sent me a FB invite to a fundraiser for someone's mother that has cancer. (It's very unfortunate, I can empathise with that.) HOWEVER, sirens immediately went off in my head, thinking to myself, "But wait...isn't health care in Canada "free"? So what exactly does this person need $$$ for??!! How 'bout if it's a SCAM?" I wished I could be less skeptical/jaded, but it's just not in me. Or at least it's not how I was raised.
